We focus our work in three key areas, because nurturing the potential of kids, helping people live healthier, and supporting our neighbors are fundamental to strengthening communities.

Jackie Robinson Family YMCA
Thunder Squad Drumline
This is not just a drumline...this is a lifestyle. The Jackie Robinson Family YMCA Community
Drumline is committed to creating outstanding musicians in a powerful and
positive environment through the movement of music that will instill the values
of responsibility in our youth. We are
dedicated to challenge, motivate and develop mature adults.
The Jackie Robinson Family YMCA Community Drumline is comprised of young percussionists who wish to extend their musicianship outside of the classroom. The members of this program are introduced to the Historical Black College/University (HBCU) style of marching and performing. The program offers members the opportunity to challenge their creativity, entertaining ability, discipline, leadership, and musicianship. The drumline consists of: drum majors, snare drummers, tenor drummers, bass drummers, and cymbal players.
