Thoughts from the executive

Look what we are up to now!

The Jackie Robinson Family YMCA Junior RBI (Revitalizing Baseball in the Inner Cities) Program started last Saturday with the San Diego Hall of Champions Sports Academy Baseball Clinic for boys & girls ages 5 - 12. This year's RBI program will feature an opportunity for a select team from our 11 - 12 age division to participate in the Junior RBI Classic Tournament in Anaheim during the MLB All-Star Week. Read here to see what happened in St. Louis last summer. Sign up for RBI at the Y today!

Our TAKE FIVE Tickets for Kids Program received news this week that we will once again be receiving $2 vouchers to the 2010 San Diego County Fair. Priority notification will be given to all donors, members, and program participant families of the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA. Go here to DONATE, BECOME A MEMBER, or register for DAY CAMP, SPORTS, and SWIM programs.

The TAKE FIVE Tickets for Kids Program is just one example of how being a member of the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA goes to the core of building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities. Consider this:

We appreciate the generous contributions of the TAKE FIVE donors. In the past thirty days the Padres contributed over 3,000 tickets. The Old Globe added 150 seats to the performance of The Whipping Man. And, for the San Diego County Fair will once again supply us with over 20,000 vouchers. All tickets are distributed on a first-come first served basis WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.

Don't miss the next opportunity by becoming a member today!
